The inability to move objects is what is referred to Upper Limb Disability or Hand Disability, it maybe due to amputation, birth defect, paralysis, nerve damage or injury.
There are over 30 Lakh people, in India, dealing with some form of Hand Disability.
Comprising 16 Lakh Indians who are Missing a Hand by Birth or Due to an Accident.
Would anyone have asked for Losing a Hand?
Absolutely Not!!
I am writing to you with a heartfelt appeal to support a remarkable initiative that has the potential to transform the lives of thousands of amputees in India and beyond. I am Llewellyn Dsa, the Founder & CEO of Robo Bionics, a startup that has developed Grippy, India’s own NABL Lab Safety Tested and Certified, 3D printed prosthetic hand with a sense of touch and multi-grip control⁶⁷.
Grippy is not just another prosthetic device. It is a breakthrough innovation that uses patent-pending technology to give users a realistic and functional prosthesis. Grippy can detect the pressure applied on the fingers and adjust the grip accordingly, allowing users to handle objects of different shapes and sizes without damaging them. Grippy can also simulate the feeling of touch by sending vibrations to the user’s arm, creating a natural and intuitive feedback loop. Grippy can perform various gestures and grips, such as pinch, point, fist, palm, and more. Grippy is designed to be ergonomic, lightweight (650g), and durable. Grippy is also compatible with existing myoelectric systems, making it easy for clinicians and users to adopt it.
Grippy is more than a product. It is a vision. A vision to make bionics accessible and affordable to everyone who needs it. A vision to empower people with limb differences and help them regain their independence, confidence, and dignity. A vision to make bionics as simple as switching on a light bulb. But we need your help to make this vision a reality. We need your help to bring Grippy to the people who need it the most.
That’s why we are launching this crowdfunding campaign. Our goal is to raise enough funds i.e. Rs. 2,50,00,000 to fit 100 users with Grippy by the end of this year. We want to give them the gift of touch and movement that they deserve. We want to make them smile again. But we can’t do it without you. You can make a difference by supporting our campaign today. You can choose from various amounts that include the entire cost of Grippy itself or other smaller amounts that show your support for our cause. You can also share our campaign with your friends and family and spread the word about our mission.
By backing our campaign, you are not just buying a product or getting a reward. You are joining a community of changemakers who believe in the power of bionics to transform lives. You are becoming part of our story.
So what are you waiting for? Join us today and help us make history. Together, we can make Grippy available to everyone who needs it.
